Transparent Smart Window – an initial view of new reality

Transparent Smart Window apart from sun protection blinds was offering much more. The window made possible to watch TV, see travel details or check the weather on a big screen, when we were making coffee or breakfast using only voice commands and gestures. Connecting to user’s home computer network, each window was able to access the Internet, display emails or favorite channels during everyday activities like cooking or cleaning.

That innovative multimedia product featured an interactive window and a control unit to manage the device and interact with users via a number of interfaces. Its LCD matrix was enclosed in a glass panel, protecting the display from external factors. The window featured a low-power ARM processor and interfaces for wireless communications based on WIFI or Bluetooth. Each user could easily connect to the window any portable drive with various media content.

Few years later a similar window was installed in an autonomous car for making long drives more enjoyable. Passengers could easily browse the Internet, watch movies or viewing information, without any chargeable devices. The window incorporated the functions of a TV, a tablet and working tools.

Nowadays we still use that kind of technology but no glass is necessary any longer.
